In depth
Verdict
A wide open affair in which the market may prove to be the best guide. Sunridge Fairy is only small but she is very game and she won a seller last time out at Leicester when defeating Magical Day by three-and-a-half lengths in the style of an improver and is the TEAMtalk selection. Diamond Darren has shown a modicum on all his starts over hurdles and his latest third behind Bongo Fury at Ludlow gives him every chance in this easier race. Dazzling Rio would also have a chance on his second behind Ela d'Argent at Perth but he has disappointed since. However, the Patrick Haslam yard has a good strike rate with it's hurdlers this year and any market confidence could be significant. Nerina Princess was fourth last time out at Newbury behind Fat Mix, weakening at the last. This easier track should suit. Dash For Gold was fourth last time out at Newcastle but gave the impression he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip. Roppongi Dancer may also improve but may do better when handicapped. Of the remainder Tuscarora showed a modicum of ability on the flat over seven furlongs and if she takes to hurdling she could run well at a fair price.
