Verdict
Joint topweights Lord Khalice and Veneguera both have conditional jockeys on board to take a little weight of their backs, with slight preference for the latter who won at Ludlow last month and races off just a 5lb higher mark here. Ardour Glowing, who rattled up a four-timer when trained by Martin Pipe two seasons ago only got as far as the first before coming down on his first run for new connections earlier this month and is probably best watched, as is Chancers Dante, who looked in need of the run when returning to action recently. Michaelmas Daizy ran well enough behind Nou Camp at Southwell to be given a chance here but the TEAMtalk vote goes to the Richard Phillips-trained Mithak. A one-and-a-half length second to Sadler's Secret at Haydock should have blown away the cobwebs and, with ground conditions to suit, the son of Silver Hawk has solid claims.
