        Verdict

        Thrifty made a promising start at Newcastle last month but struggled to make all over the stiff 5f at Beverley last time and faded into fourth. Magic Applause made a modest debut at Leicester but Kikini Bamalaam finished closer at Ripon last time and the remainder with racecourse experience have plenty to find. Rebel Assault and Mayfair Rock are newcomers to note but WIRRAL GIRL, a £100,000 purchase at last month’s sales in Ireland, gets a speculative vote to make a winning start for Richard Fahey.
