In depth

Verdict

Feisty Royale has shown an ability to act on this ground and Mark Johnston's filly gets the nod to win at the third time of asking. Rocheport and Toolittletoolate make it to the shortlist. The selection has shown up for a long way on her two starts so far but has just been found wanting in the closing stages. She will be wiser on this, her third outing, and with the ground no problem she is taken to put her experience to good use. Lady Calido rates a threat but may be seen to better effect when seen in a nursery, whilst Rocheport should appreciate this return to six furlongs. Van Bossed (a 48,000 guineas purchase) and American-bred Toolittletoolate are two likely newcomers from stables who know how to get one ready so both needs more than a cursory glance. At a price Duke of Touraine could go well (held by the selection on their last running), however we will return to Feisty Royale as the winner.
