Gee Dee is preferred to My Arch and Mabel. The selection came off second best in a driving finish over course and distance in December but the pair pulled clear of the field that were headed by Peters Star who runs earlier on the card. Conditions clearly suit and there should be more to come from him, he has solid claims. My Arch's best performance came over course and distance on quick ground three starts ago. He'll be suited by the drier ground after a couple of outings on softer conditions and he's respected. Mabel was beaten almost thirty lengths at Doncaster but that came in a hot race won by Sentry Duty. She stayed on well to chase home the principals and would have leading claims here if that run doesn't flatter her. Market support would make her of keen interest whilst Instant Shot is another to watch in the ring as this faster ground should also be in his favour but we'll take Gee Dee to open his account.
