In depth

Verdict

Dance The Mambo was slightly disappointing in a Leicester handicap last month but may be worth another chance judged by previous form when landing a maiden hurdle at Newcastle and Mick Easterby's gelding is preferred to Touch of Ivory and Flower Haven. The last mentioned should strip fit enough following a couple of recent spins on the level and makes more appeal than Keith Reveley's Heavenly Chorus, who has been well held in recent starts. Susiedil is hard to recommend on recent form and of more interest is Peter Monteith's Touch of Ivory, who takes a drop in class today. Dance The Mambo has solid claims despite his big weight though and he gets the vote.
