In depth

Verdict

It's difficult to fathom what a twelve-year-old better known as a hurdler in Ireland is doing here but presumably connections of Whatuthink know what they are doing so watch the market. However, JOLIE BLONDE is difficult to oppose after completing a double here and at Bath and she sauntered home over the course and distance three weeks ago so a 10lb rise shouldn't be a problem. Waltz Darling loves it here and gained another success earlier this month when comfortably seeing off Eastern Magic. A 5lb rise looks manageable and he should go well though the main threat looks to be Come On Sunshine. Brian Ellison's charge showed little in his early starts on the Flat but has improved out of all recognition over hurdles and completed a double in the summer. Jan Smuts has gone off the boil but has dropped to a lowly mark as a consequence and could get into the frame.
