Verdict
Waterspray has been performing a fair bit better than the rest of these and this looks a good opportunity for him, with Edmo Yewkay, Ball O Malt and Bearaway all having place claims. The selection stands out from this field because he goes on the ground and at this trip, he is game and genuine and a repeat of either of his last two runs would be comfortably good enough to score. Edmo Yewkay is officially well in at the weights, and he made a good debut effort over fences at Hexham last time. It will be different on this faster ground though and his jumping will be tested against more experienced rivals. Ball O Malt is interesting on his first start over British fences. A couple of hurdles runs will have put him straight and he looks capable of getting involved. Of the remainder, Bearaway would have a clear chance on his best form, but has failed to complete on his last two starts. He is best watched at present, and for the winner we think Waterspray can sluice up.
