Verdict

No Way Hozay and Appeal Denied are both a long way out of the handicap and the former was beaten more than 20 lengths behind TUTCHEC at Sedgefield earlier this month. Nicky Richards' five-year-old should have no problem confirming that form and can double his tally over fences in this as last year's winner Doberdan was very disappointing when sent off joint favourite over C&D last time. Pamak D'airy is well treated on his best form but never threatened the leaders at Newcastle last time and the fitting of blinkers smacks of desperation.
