Verdict
We will take a chance on the fitness of Messiah Garvey and select this one ahead of Cheery Cat and Flying Valentino. Mick Channon's three-year-old ended last year with a smooth maiden success on the all-weather at Kempton. His previous turf form wasn't too bad, in fact he finished just four lengths behind the 84 rated Perfect Star. With that in mind he doesn't look badly treated on his handicap debut. Cheery Cat has enjoyed a decent run of form this season and ran another solid race last time out when third to Borodinsky over course and distance. It is not difficult to envisage this one going close. Flying Valentino was unlucky in running last time and is better judged on his previous effort when a close up third to Karoo Blue in a competitive race at Redcar. Ingleby Princess would have a chance on the pick of last season's form and looks the best of the others, but Messiah Garvey looked progressive last year and can make a winning return.
