Verdict

The two previous winners, Vice Et Vertu and CLASSIC MOVE, should dominate this. The former stayed on strongly to win by 11 lengths at Carlisle last time and is three from four under Rules. But the second and third have both been beaten twice since and he is conceding 4lb to the latter, equally impressive at Bangor last month. The third in that race had won earlier and went very close in a handicap at Huntingdon subsequently so Donald McCain's gelding gets the nod. It's impossible to make much of a case for the others, though Mister Jones may be capable of better and Oorayvic finished well ahead of Well Related and Devil At Midnight at Doncaster last time.
