Verdict
Alderley Rover won at Bangor following a lengthy break but then flopped at Musselburgh and is best watched here under a big weight. Hartforth won easily at Musselburgh and the start of the month and that looks better form the Campbonnais' victory at Fakenham and Big Sound's second at Wetherby, though Romany Ryme has claims on a close-up second at Newcastle and preferred to Sedgefield third Moscow Presents. Pudsey House was a very easy winner over track and trip last month but the handicapper took a dim view and put him up 14lb. AMERICAN LIFE stays well and, having finished ahead of Moscow Presents and Big Sound at Sedgefield, ran another excellent race at Taunton. He's climbing the weights but can finally get his head in front today.
