Cold Henry won this a year ago when completing a track and trip double. He's been running well all summer without much luck and should get into contention. TARBAT NESS is very consistent and landed a Ffos Las handicap over the trip and has run well in both subsequent starts. He can go in again as Beggarman, three-times an all-weather winner, is 0-13 on Turf. Gold Ring beat the selection over the trip at Redcar but that was back in April and he hasn't run since. Ebony Maw won a 1m5f handicap on heavy ground at Ayr but was beaten a long way over an extra furlong here ten days ago.
