      Verdict

      Galahad Threepwood completed a 1m4f handicap double at Lingfield and started favourite for a much better race at Wolverhampton but couldn't make the step-up in grade. Alpha Theta easily won a maiden and a novices' event over 1m4f on Fibresand at Southwell but has struggled in handicaps subsequently. His former stable companion MARGARET DUMONT finished with a flourish over this trip at Wolverhampton and with just 1lb extra to cope with can go one better. Toro Dorado is 6-28 on the all-weather but has never won beyond 1m2f or raced over this far. Champs De Reves didn't run too badly over the track and trip in August but hasn't run since October.
