Verdict
Thahab dotted up in a maiden here on his reappearance but has failed to figure in a couple of handicaps since. Mambo Paradise beat Elis Eliz to win a maiden race at Wolverhampton but was well beaten over 7f at York last time while recent maiden winners Frostman and Quite Smart are upped in class today. Vimy Ridge struggled in this grade last season but Al Gomry may well have improved since well beaten at Doncaster in September. TERUNTUM STAR is the only one of these proven in this grade with a win at Haydock last season. Kevin Ryan's colt should be sharper for a recent pipe-opener at Pontefract and gets the nod to come good again.
