        Verdict

        A handful of these took part in a similar contest over track and trip last month when runner-up ROUGHLYN came out best. He may well confirm running with Cathedral, Corn Maiden, Fire In Babylon and Opus Too, though the latter has subsequently gone close over 2m at Kempton and should figure while the unpredictable Layline is also capable of getting involved on one of his better days. Champagne Ransom and Shifting Moon are less-exposed types open to improvement.
