      In depth

      Verdict

MITIGATOR (NAP) is still 1lb below his last winning mark and his first start for today’s stable suggests that he remains a worthy player in this affair. Kodi Noir is exposed as ordinary though Alice Haynes’ gelding appears to reserve his best for this circuit. Kilcummin recently won a juvenile hurdle at Fontwell so connections will hope some of that stardust can rub off here. Deed Pole may be a long-standing maiden but he has ran with credit at Chelmsford in the past. Storm Asset is winner at three of Britain’s all-weather circuits and Tony Carroll’s gelding aims to extend that to a fourth on this occasion.
