Verdict

The winners of the two previous renewals are both back for more. Celtic Artisan won last year and scored at Wolverhampton recently. He should go close again with an apprentice negating most of a penalty but the 2015 winner, NOUVELLE ERE, is back on a winning mark and may just edge proceedings having found only one too good on his latest start. General Tufto is best at Southwell while Hold Firm has done all his winning so far over shorter trips. Breakheart continues to slide down the weights without getting any closer but Tyrsal won off today’s mark at Yarmouth last year.
