Verdict
WAR IN HEAVEN has won five times over longer trips since joining Mick Appleby. He scored over a mile here last time but landed a double over 6f last season so today’s distance should hold no fears. Secret Moment won over 6f on his reappearance and is preferred to stablemate Open Mind but Chola Empire has yet to win on Turf. Owl Island and Onight both landed doubles before poor efforts on their handicap debuts with fast ground put forward as an excuse for the former.
