Verdict
Philip Hobbs won this in 2014 and will be hopeful of a good run from recent course and distance winner So Fine, though he's no certainty to confirm that form with According To Trev, Billy Dutton and Monbeg Gold at the revised terms. Dan Emmett has more to do than when getting off the mark at Chepstow and Southwell scorer Singlefarmpayment will also need to improve again but Batavir has been dropped a couple of pounds since his latest third at Haydock and is preferred to Bangor runner-up A Vos Gardes, who still looks too high in the weights, and doubtful stayer Foxcub. RONS DREAM, representing last year's winning trainer/jockey combination, had Batavir and So Fine well behind when successful here in November and made a bold bid to follow up over a trip too short at the track last month. She is one of the toughest mares in training and, despite another career-high mark, seems sure to be in the shake-up again.
