In depth

Verdict

POETIC MUSIC looked in need of the run at Newbury but stayed on strongly to defy her penalty and a hat-trick beckons with further improvement likely. Warwick winner Iliade Allen is another filly with solid claims but Kimberley Eve was beaten by Mr Sundancer at Wincanton last month. Royal Max, a half-brother to a winner on the Flat, is a newcomer worth a market check with Nicky Henderson choosing to start him off in decent company.
