In depth

Verdict

COOMBE HILL bids to win this for the second year running and has every chance of doing so. He had almost 20 lengths in hand on Rumbury Grey when winning a Wincanton hunter chase last month, also for the second time, and is clearly back in form. Divine Intavention would be a big danger on his second to Salsify in the Cheltenham Foxhunters' but he's refused since in a point-to-point. Duke Special, Hameldown Tor and Pertemps Heights all arrive off the back of wins between the flags but The General Lee is more interesting as he stays well and came up against a useful sort in Squadron at last month's United Pack meeting.
