Verdict

This nearly always fall to a decent hunter chaser and TEMPLER fits the bill this year. Philip Hobbs' 10-year-old hasn't won for a while but was an honourable seventh in the Foxhunter Chase here in March and finished ahead of recent Ludlow winner Theatre Diva when runner-up in this race 12 months ago. There's no reason why that form should be reversed today. Kornati Kid is a former stablemate of the selection and stayed on well to beat Keenan's Future at Exeter in March but he's never been easy to catch right and it remains to be seen how he fares over these big fences.
