In depth

Verdict

Tudor City is a fascinating runner in this given he won over 1m4f on the Flat last month, though he's placed just once so far over timber. The handicapper has taken no chances with the lightly-raced Excellent Result but Runyon Rattler was in good form in the summer and another Irish raider, Magna Cartor, is on a hat-trick, though carries a penalty. Lou Vert is proving disappointing while Ballinure was only fourth here last month after winning at Newton Abbot. Mac Gregory may have been unlucky behind New Member at Ludlow but the winner has been beaten since. KK LEXION won a competitive little handicap at Southwell last month and the form has already been franked. He's 5lb higher here but may be capable of following up granted luck in-running – his stable is in cracking form. Thomas Blossom is improving but Air Horse One is best watched returning from a break.
