Verdict

A big field for this amateur riders’ handicap, though Plan Of Attack was due to run in the cross-country chase here yesterday. Strictlyadancer beat Fact Of The Matter in a similar race on the new course here just over three weeks ago. The latter is 2lb out of the handicap in this but ridden by a 7lb claimer. Bermeo will also carry overweight but he faced the same situation in this race 12 months ago and was only just beaten. One Forty Seven, Mindsmadeup and Minella Encore are all more recent winners than Dawson City while Another Venture goes well fresh. Opposites Attract and MILANFORD arguably have untapped potential over the larger obstacles and the latter could go well at a price having had a pipe-opener over hurdles.
