In depth

Verdict

Though only fourth when favourite for a Grade 1 at Sandown last Saturday, Torpillo is a decent novice so MISTER FISHER probably did well to get within three lengths at Warwick on his fencing bow – the third has won since. The yard also run chasing debutant Champagne Platinum, who has won a point and two hurdle races. After just coming up short at Carlisle, Good Boy Bobby had no trouble landing the odds at Wetherby and he should win more races. Beakstown has come up against smart novices in his two runs to date over the larger obstacles while it is too soon to give up on Nestor Park but the exposed Topofthecotswolds and Garo De Juilley are likely to struggle again.
