Verdict

Everything appears to be in place for a big run from PICTURE THIS who is marginally preferred to Grands Crus and Barafundle. The selection won over course and distance around twelve months ago from a 9lb lower mark and has only run twice since. He hasn't shone on either occasion but the better ground that he'll encounter here may well prove to be the answer and he has a nice racing weight. Grands Crus is likely to be popular given the exploits of his Taunton conqueror Sanctuaire and the handicapper has taken a real chance in leaving his mark alone whilst the longer trip should suit. However, none of that will have escaped anyone's attention and he may be sent off at a shorter price than his form merits as a result whilst he also has to prove himself under these conditions. Barafundle has impressed in novice company and looks fairly treated ahead of his handicap bow whilst it would be no surprise to see the quirky Sangfroid place again if his stamina holds out. Triggerman and Kornati Kid are amongst others worthy of mention but Picture This could make the frame at an attractive price.
