In depth

Verdict

A tough looking handicap with plenty of the 19 runners looking to hold solid claims. Among those worthy of a mention are the hat-trick seeking pair of Business Class and Courtledge, although they have more to do than of late off their higher marks. Dealer's Choice seems better suited by this trip than the 3m+ over which the eight-year-old was pulled up at Sandown last month. A winner back over 2m4f at Ludlow subsequently, the son of Roselier has to be respected as does topweight Percy Parkeeper from the in-form Nigel Twiston-Davies stable. Perhaps the most interesting of all the runners is Robert Alner's Bush Park. The seven-year-old overcame an absence from the track of three months to win over hurdles in the Wincanton mud last time. Equally well suited by faster ground that run should have put the son of Be My Native spot on for this return to fences.
