In depth

Verdict

Another tough-looking handicap to try and solve with plenty of possible winners. The Venetia Williams-trained Ismene looked unlucky when clipping another rival's heels at Kempton last time and should be thereabouts as should Ashgar from the Philip Hobbs stable. Topweight You're Special has yet to prove he really stays this trip but the faster going here should help while the likely favourite Jurancon II has finally begun to fulfill his potential with wins at Market Rasen and Plumpton recently but would probably prefer softer ground.
