In depth

Verdict

Voix D'eau won this in 2016 off a 4lb higher mark but was pulled up last year, though still makes more appeal than stablemate Art Of Payroll. Frodon was out of his depth in last month’s Ryanair but won a Grade 3 handicap here in January off a higher mark and is reunited with Bryony Frost. Kalondra weakened quickly in a Grade 1 at Sandown last time but was up against smart novices. He’d earlier given weight and a beating to the useful Coo Star Sivola here and doesn’t look badly treated in his first handicap. The going may be too quick for Ramses De Teillee but drying ground will suit GO CONQUER, who has had a break since his fifth in the Betdaq Chase at Kempton. He is the likely pace angle and could run the finish out of most of these if left to his own devices. Cepage got back to winning ways at Kempton last month but Knockgraffon is proving hard to catch right and Shantou Village might need this. Rock On Rocky and Enjoy Responsibly are upped several grades and the latter is racing from out of the handicap.
