In depth

Verdict

A big field but few arrive in peak form. Gwencily Berbas is a thorough stayer who finished ahead of Young Bull and Copperhead over a longer trip at Exeter last month. Potters Legend is on a long losing run but Checkitout should go well dropped another 2lb since his latest second at Chepstow. No Cruise Yet also stays well having finished third in the Eider two runs ago, though he weakened quickly at Haydock last time and was beaten fair and square by BRETNEY at Bangor in February. Henry Daly’s charge is a bit of an enigma but he has a chance off a low weight here if in the mood. Blame The Game was second over this trip at Plumpton in January but beaten when unseating his rider at the last on a return visit. Recent winners Valleres, Wake Up Early and To Be Sure all have more on their plate here.
