Verdict

Nicky Henderson won this with none other than Altior in 2015 and new acquisition Dame De Compagnie landed a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter last month. But SLATE HOUSE made a winning start under Rules when scoring over course and distance and he’s just preferred on that form. Summerville Boy came up just short at Stratford on his hurdling bow but dual bumper winner Better Getalong scored at Ayr on his first start over timber. The more exposed Bedrock has won a couple of novice hurdles but failed to land the odds over track and trip last month.
