In depth

Verdict

THE HOLLOW GINGE (NAP) has an excellent record first-time out and was only beaten a head in this last year off a 10lb higher mark. Gordon Elliott saddles last year’s winner and has entered both the novices Motown Maggie and Tullybeg, though the latter was also engaged in the 3.20 here yesterday. Captain Cattistock beat The Wolf in the Edinburgh National at Musselburgh in February and followed up over 3m2f here in April and Organdi won at Warwick last month but Almazhar Garde became frustrating to follow last season. Coeur Serein has been quite highly tried over fences so far and is preferred to Lord Accord and Neville's Cross of the others
