In depth
Verdict
A maiden Hunter Chase which means most of the form will be from the pointing field with the likes of Nautical Lad, Heisamodel and Mr. Splodge showing possibly the best of it with the vote goes to the last named. Mr. Splodge finished a good second in a similar contest at Leicester before winning between the flags at Kimble by thirty five lengths. If reproducing that level of form he surely will prove difficult to oppose. Heisamodel is another in terrific form in the pointing field winning three times this year most recently when sent off odds on at Kingston St Mary so is worth noting in the market. Nautical Lad is another in form. His recent second will not be good enough to win this but a place will be realistic. But for the winner we return to Mr. Splodge.
