In depth
Verdict
Bright Approach, County Derry. General Claremont and Alska look the main protagonists in another hard race but the vote goes to Bright Approach. The selection won well last time out when defeating Macgeorge he will like the fast ground, loves this course and distance and is sure to get the fast pace which he needs. County Derry would rate the main danger on his best form but he was 41 lengths behind the selection last time and will need to improve significantly to score. General Claremont is another that could go well but he took a heavy fall at Aintree last time and it is hard to know if his confidence will have been effected so for that reason he is passed over on this occasion. Alska defeated Dantie Boy last time when getting up in the final stride but that race was run at a furious pace and he does not look to have the class to win this and for the winner we return to Bright Approach.
