Verdict
BERE DAVIS can give weight and a beating to Arthur's Edge and Tuxedo. The selection needs genuinely fast ground to be at his best and with the weather forecast as it is, he should receive those conditions today. Richard Evans takes off a valuable five. Arthur's Edge probably isn't as good on turf as he is on the all weather although the handicap mark has been adjusted accordingly. Tuxedo does not score that often though he did precious little wrong at Warwick last time out. Lordship stays the mile well and could be a factor if coping with the underfoot conditions. Petomic was big odds in maidens and Ralph Beckett's gelding makes a debut in handicap company. Beautiful Breeze and Full Victory are both inconsistent though either of them could be a factor if they consent to run to their A game. Addiena's previous victory at this track obtained in very wet conditions. Bere Davis is hard to get away from and we seek not to.
