In depth

Verdict

A decent handicap and ASTRA HALL has landed all successes on soft or heavy ground, including a gritty win here last time. She took time to get on top that day and therefore it's rather strange to see her revert to 1m2f here. Nevertheless, she is progressing nicely and must go well and confirm recent running with Pandorica with whom she is closely matched. More rain would assist the Beckett inmate's chance. Dandy, a game all-the-way winner last time over this trip, looks one to follow having found form but both successes have arrived on good to firm ground so the last thing he's likely to need is a deterioration in conditions. Course and distance winner, Tawseef, is only up 3lb for a recent success and definitely enters calculations. He's another that will appreciate any softening of the ground.
