In depth

Verdict

Polish Eagle might prove to be the answer here, with Gitche Manito and Heathcote not out of it either. Polish Eagle has shaped well on a couple of occasions, but did let his supporters down at Hamilton last time. That makes him no good thing, but he was highly-tried behind Proclamation on his Newmmarket debut last October and still has enough time on his side to make an impression. His experience should count against today's opponents, the best of whom may be Gitche Manito, although he is expected to come on for the run. Of the rest, Heathcote created a favourable impression when third at Brighton, but pulled too hard and needs to settle more, while Pseudonym needs to bounce back after a poor effort at Lingfield. Nothing appeals at all of the remainder, and although no world-beater himself, Polish Eagle should be the one to be on.
