In depth
Verdict
It is a marathon card from Chepstow and if they get the rain, BIG TALK can give weight all around to Milnagavie and Cornish Beau. Sylvester Kirk's son of Selkirk is related to plenty of mile-and-a-quarter performers and it is certainly interesting that Tony Culhane has been booked for the job first time out. Milnagavie was unfancied in the ring on debut though flew home from an unpromising position. This is likely to be evident in the likely price today. Cornish Beau represents a yard that are in particularly good form at present although the trainer's record with the juveniles this term is very modest indeed. Layline was a very cheaply purchased son of King Of Kings. Venetius looked sure to improve on the evidence of a first run. Crystal Gale sets a fair standard from a formbook perspective while Inside Track makes the appeal of a horse who will come into his own next season. The market will give the punters a fair perspective of what is likely to happen but in the absence of it, Big Talk is the selection.
