This is a distinctly moderate contest and what can only be a tentative vote goes to Purr, who gets the verdict over Caislean Na Deirge and Ruling Reef. The last mentioned has run well on the flat of late and back over hurdles again at Newton Abbot last month but an 8lb rise for that effort looks harsh and she may be best watched. Paradise Expected is capable but has been well held in recent starts and of more interest may be That's For Sure, who found only Nick's Choice too good in a similar contest over course and distance last time. Caislean Na Deirge reverts to hurdles today off a fair mark, having been running creditably over fences and has to be considered but preference is for Purr. Paul Howling's gelding sprung a surprise when successful at Fakenham last month but at least he has recent winning form and, with ground conditions again to suit, he may be worth chancing again here.
