In depth

Verdict

A big field for this opener, though the standard may not be particularly high. Ardmayle alternates between hurdles and fences but hasn’t raced off a mark this low since successful over 2m here three years ago. The Raven's Return was beaten in a Fakenham claimer last month but Kevin Jones takes off a handy 3lb while Anightinlambourn bounced back from a poor run at Catterick when runner-up at Sandown. High Change remains a maiden but may have needed his run at Huntingdon, though still has stamina to prove. SEELOTMOREBUSINESS would not be one of the Ditcheat stable stars but he did win on his hurdling debut here in November, beating a horse now rated 132, so an opening mark of 108 could be very generous. Quick Draw, in first-time cheekpieces, and Macfin are also interesting.
