Now handicapped, and fairly to boot, Ainia can come good for David Simcock, while Ci Vediamo and Miss Clarice are also short list material. Ainia has earned her mark of 73 after three maiden runs, the most recent of which saw her finish second at Ripon on ground that would not have suited her well. This sound surface will see her to better effect, her mark is not harsh on what she has achieved thus far, and now may well be the time to catch her. Miss Clarice is another handicap debutante for whom Jamie Spencer has been booked. Her only try at this trip came at Sandown last time but proved fruitless, though that could all be forgotten with a big run here. Ci Vediamo also takes the handicap plunge and there was enough promise at Salisbury last time to suggest that she won¿t be far away. Ken¿s Girl might just be a shade too high in the weights, after going close in a similar event last time, while if the rains come then Poppets Sweetlove would have to seriously enter calculations. Even so, a weak fillies¿ handicap can probably be taken by Ainia.
