Verdict

Upbeat Cobbler is on a hat-trick after a couple of wins at Towcester in the spring. Caspian Piper got back to winning ways at Worcester last month but steps up a grade off a 6lb higher mark. Thegreendalerocket may well have gone close at Stratford in June had he not fallen and last year's winner Pure Poteen is 5lb lower, though has shown indifferent form since. SILVER EAGLE is almost certainly better than he showed last season. He was still third over course and distance in March and can race off a 4lb lower mark on his reappearance so gets the nod with Hepijeu proving hard to place nowadays and better on sharp tracks.
