      Verdict

Hamilton Hill won over a longer trip at Newbury on Sunday but was previously a long way behind TEMUCO over this C&D when last year's winner Mr Udagawa was also among the also-rans. David Evans' three-year-old, a winner on soft ground at Salisbury in June, looks the one to be on here. Tanforan returns from a short break but will attack from the front and could hang on for a place in a modest opener.
