In depth

Verdict

Desertmore Hill has been successful in his last two starts in bumpers at Warwick and Market Rasen and should make a hurdler. Brave Jaq makes his debut for Paul Nicholls having won a minor contest on the all-weather at Pau in December last year but just as interesting is Kid Kalanisi, who was very green here in April and will know more today. ALTIOR wasn't far behind the smart Barter's Hill at Newbury in February and was then sixth in the Champion Bumper at the Punchestown Festival. Now with Nicky Henderson, he looks a nice prospect and can make a winning debut over timber.
