In depth
Verdict
Luneray can make the most of the weight that she receives from Fox In The Box, with Up The Glen and Celtic Star others worth a mention. A winner both over hurdles and fences in France last year, Luneray has shaped very well on each of her three outings since joining Paul Nicholls. Her latest effort in scraping home at Hereford showed that she really needs a trip, and her trainer has taken the hint, upping her to three miles today. She should be in her element, although some rain would not come amiss, and the five-year-old has the scope to progress against some moderate opponents, the best of whom may be Fox In The Box. Robert Alner's charge has been off the track since scoring on his chase debut at Uttoxeter in November, but being related to former top chaser The Tsarevitch, will be expected to pay his way if kept on the go over the next few weeks. He will have to be at the top of his game to give weight away to the selection though and second best may be all that he can hope for here. Up The Glen does not have as much mileage, being a ten-year-old, and Celtic Star has had his problems, so with more to come, Luneray is the pick.
