Verdict
Having found one too good in each of his last two starts, Taggerty is bound to be popular with backers but, off the same mark as on those occasions and being dropped in trip, he may be worth taking on and we do so with Killala, who looks well enough treated for his handicap debut. The selection is open to improvement after just three starts and was far from disgraced on his return after an 11-month layoff in a Lingfield maiden recently. Second to Logsdail (rated 85) on his final start as a juvenile, Killala looks well treated here and may represent some value in a poor contest. Taggerty has obvious claims but may again have to settle for minor honours and, at the forecast odds, represents no value. Similar comments apply to Karaoke King, who has been done no favours by the handicapper, while Aegean Magic has had plenty of chances.
