Franchoek can enhance his Triumph Hurdle claims here by beating Qrackers, Serabad and Daltaban. Alan King won this event 12-months ago with Katchit, and has every chance of following up with Franchoek who was a useful stayer on the Flat, scoring three times in all this summer. Big things were expected of him when he lined up at Market Rasen a fortnight ago in a race won by Katchit last year, but he fluffed his lines and could only finish third. He was too deliberate with his jumping at the Lincolnshire track, but is following the same route as Katchit, and is expected to make amends. Qrackers is yet another French import now housed at Paul Nicholls's yard, and could be anything, while Serabad has also crossed the Channel to begin a new career and will have been well tutored, as will Chantilly Flat winner Daltabad. The one with the most experience here is Tension Point who lines up in preference to useful stablemate Hypnotic Vibes, so he should run well under a penalty, but as long as they go a decent clip, Franchoek can put his stamina to good effect to open his account over hurdles.
