In depth

Verdict

Gullible Gordon is the one to beat but those who like a bit of each-way action could do worse than look at Bobby Bullock ahead of the more obvious Buck The Legend, Reidwil and Wind Instrument. The selection ran a fair race on his debut in a bumper at this venue but proved far better suited by going over obstacles when finishing a close up third to Kornati Kid at Wincanton. The winner has won again since and he should continue to progress. Wind Instrument looks to be getting his act together over hurdles, he should stay this far and it would be no surprise to see him emerge as the principal threat to the selection. Buck The Legend ran a fine race at Cheltenham last time and should relish the return to this trip having already finished second to a Ditcheat inmate over course and distance. Reidwil chased the same Nicholls horse home at Taunton next time but he has a bit to find. Better value could lie with Bobby Bullock who caught the eye staying on strongly in a warm heat at Ascot and should improve for this longer trip but we'll take the likely jolly, Gullible Gordon, to land the money.
