In depth
Verdict
An open finale can go the way of Commander Vic who should appreciate the step up in trip and can score at the main expense of Inherent. The selection appreciated the better ground when finishing a staying on second last time out and now stepped up in trip, he looks capable of making his presence felt in a big way. He is undoubtedly a chaser in the making but could be capable of scoring over hurdles before taking on the bigger obstacles. Inherent won well last time out and with the stable in good form of late, the mare should be there or thereabouts at the finish. Dad Says Heazle and Can't Wack It are tow with minor place claims, whilst support for Brendan Powell's Calusa Caldera should be noted although he needs to step up significantly on what he has shown so far. All in all this looks a good opportunity for Commander Vic to score at the third time of asking.
